What did RSP do on Logan?
Reprising its role on The Wolverine, Rising Sun Pictures joined Director James Mangold’s team for Logan, the third and final instalment in 20th Century Fox/Marvel’s “Wolverine” saga. RSP contributed some 230 shots to the dark, visceral tale, with the work ranging from animating the lead character’s trademark claws, to producing finely-detailed matte paintings of locations in Mexico, Texas and elsewhere.

Based on Suzanne Collins’ best-selling novel, The Hunger Games was one of the biggest box office hits of 2012. RSP created more than 200 visual effects shots for the film. RSP composited a range of shots including green screens and 3d helmets (which were animated and lit by Ben Paschke).
The film was notable for RSP because it was our first ever work on a Hollywood feature film and the supervisor Jeff Okun was a big part of our early success. In many ways you can trace RSPs international film business back to this project.
