As we continue to expand, we know that people are our greatest asset and over the past year we have been successful in securing some of the world’s best creative professionals.

Off the back of a successful collaboration on Thor: Ragnarok, we are proud to officially announce that Tom Wood is joining the RSP team as Creative Director. Many of you will already know Tom, who has had an extensive career spanning three decades in the industry.

He started his career at Cinesite in the 1990’s, before progressing to Visual Effects Supervisor at MPC on such films as Harry Potter & The Chamber of Secrets, Sunshine and Kingdom of Heaven. In 2008 Tom went independent to supervise Prince of Persia and Mirror Mirror, before being nominated for Academy® and BAFTA® Awards for Best Visual Effects on Mad Max: Fury Road in 2015.

Tom’s creative leadership will enhance our growing supervisory team, with RSP also recently securing Malte Sarnes as VFX Supervisor and Julian Hutchens as CG Supervisor.

Malte boasts an impressive resume, most recently coming from Pixomondo where he supervised work on xXx: Return of Xander Cage, The Promise, After Earth, Fantastic Four and Game of Thrones.

Julian Hutchens returns home to Australia after 8 years with Framestore, where he served in a variety of roles including CG Supervisor on Beauty & the Beast and The Legend of Tarzan, Head of Lighting on Paddington 2, Blade Runner 2049, Arrival, Fantastic Beasts & Where to find them, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.2 and King Arthur: Legend of the Sword and Lighting Supervisor on Paddington.

We’re thrilled to build on RSP’s existing strong talent base and are looking forward to shaping our new future with Tom, Malte and Julian.
